Allocated collection sites

Producers or their collective schemes must collect waste portable batteries in relation to their market share. Waste portable batteries must be collected from collection sites registered by the local authorities in the DPA-System local authority register.

DPA-System calculates and allocates quantities and collection sites from where the collective schemes of the producer must collect waste portable batteries.

The allocation of collection sites is called the collection scheme or "annual shift". The latter term is often used by the local authorities since they may see a shift from one collective scheme to another and thereby see a new operator collecting waste portable batteries from their sites.

Annual shift is on 1 september

The allocation is notified every year in the month of June and it enters into force on 1 September. It is possible to see present and future allocations on these sites, which are updated continuously with changes and corrections.
