Producers and importers subject to producer responsibility must register in the DPA-System producer register with information on master data, product categories, and quantities in kilos put on the market.
Registration must be made electronically on the DPA-System website no later than two weeks before planned marketing.
The duty of registration entered into force in 2006. For producers and importers having put equipment subject to registration on the market the duty of registration thus applies for equipment sold from 2006 onwards.
If a producer or an importer has put equipment subject to registration on the market in the above period without having registered with DPA-System, this company is obliged to register equipment for previous years.
The producer or the importer may choose to have a collective scheme undertake the duty of registration and reporting. In this way the collective scheme will assume all registration and updating of data.

Definition of weight in connection with registration of quantities put on the market: The weight is always stated in kilos as the weight of the entire product (the finished article) in the form it is marketed to the user, including electronic accessories, but excluding batteries and accumulators, packaging, instructions for use and manuals. The weight is stated in the exact number of whole kilos of product put on the market per category and type of user. |
