Legislation

The Battery Directive was implemented in Denmark by an amendment to the Danish Environmental Protection Act and the Battery Order. As from 1 January 2009  producers and importers putting batteries and accumulators on the market thereby became subject to producer responsibility and associated duties of, among others, registration and marking of products.

DPA-System is in charge of administration of rules and operation of the national producer register in pursuance of the Battery Order.
